Virtual meetings are apart of our everyday routine but the last thing you want to do is spend a bunch of time putting on a full face of make-up just to be in your house. But on the flip, you also don’t want to look like you just rolled out of bed either. So to solve your dilemma here are some 5-minute make-up tips that will have you looking flawless fast!

Moisturize Your Skin

This is the most important of all the steps in your skincare routine. Moisturizing your skin has many benefits such as preventing your skin from sun damage as most moisturizers have SPF in them. It also reduces fine aging lines and maintains your skin collagen In addition, when you apply your makeup it will get trapped in those creases making it easy for people to notice them. You’ll also notice how tight your face feels and also how dull it looks, especially in the colder months.

You can take it a step further and use a tinted moisturizer. These types of moisturizers are light and airy. They give the illusion of full coverage without all the heaviness of a traditional foundation. Tinted moisturizers also add to your summer glow, and one can never have too much glow in the summer.

Put Eye Drops In Your Eyes

Between sleep schedules all over the place and stress, your eyes (like mine) are probably red. You don’t want that redness to appear on camera. So just before your meeting starts put a few drops in your eyes to clear it up. Additionally, drops will also maintain and soothe your vision due to extended screen time

Apply Concealer To Hide Dark Circles & Blemishes

These days we’re all bound to have dark circles around our eyes. To keep from that appearing on camera apply a little bit on concealer under your eyes – 3 strokes under the eyes should do it, and dab it in. When using concealer be sure to get a shade that closely matches your skin tone. Keyword there is ‘closely’ as you don’t want to go too light and look ghostly or too dark causing your circles to stand out even more. Have a spot or some other kind of acne blemish? Use a little bit of concealer on it. What I’ve found that works for me is after concealing my blemish I’ll set it with some setting powder. This will give your skin the appearance of being even-toned.

Add Some Color To Your Cheeks

Apply blush to the apples of your cheeks will give your face a healthy glow. If you’re a fan of powder blush remember to tap off the excess before applying it. You don’t want to overdo it. The best practice is to swirl the brush on the blush, tap off the access then apply. If cream blushes are more your speed then using a clean hand. Put a small amount of blush on your fingertip, tap in, and blend.

Regardless if you use powder or cream you should apply the blush in moderation and make sure to blend so that it’s not clumped or blotchy on your face. Looking for a perfect blush? Essence has a great round-up of blushes for every shade of brown.

Apply Some Mascara

Apply one to two coats of mascara to make your eyes pop. Mascara does this by lengthening, thickening, and darkening your natural eyelashes. Remember to take any excess off the spoolie. You don’t want to have too much mascara on there because it will look clumpy and overdone. Now if you’re a fan of false lashes feel free to apply those as well.

Fill In Your Eyebrows

Taking a couple of seconds to fill in your brows will transform your whole face. The key is to gently fill in sparse areas with gentle strokes in order to keep them natural looking. Remember now eyebrows are not a one size fit all. You should always shape and fill in your brows based on the shape of your face this way your brows will flatter your face. Here is a tutorial on how I fill and shape my eyebrows.

Apply Lip Color

While some just may opt for a simple chapstick take a step further and apply a tinted lip balm. This will give your lips a soft finished look while also keeping them moisturized. If you really wanted to give your lips pop you could apply a bold shade of lipstick.

And that’s it! You’re all set to join your next virtual meeting. If you’re looking for even more make-up tips here are 10 tutorials from the best in the game.
