What’s our favorite kind of hairstyle? A quick one! This faux messy bun and bang is super quick, cute ,and fun! You don’t have to be the ultimate beauty stylist to accomplish this look. Bangs tend to give us a certain mysterious look and often times we don’t want to commit to them long term. No need to go back and forth without yourself on cutting bangs. Here is the best solution. Faux bangs! Before you know it, you’ll be feeling fly and flirty. You’ll be able to get you’re wanting without the actual cut! Check out how you can get this look with a few simple steps!
What You’ll Need:
- Big Chop Hair: 1 Bundle of 18″ Blown Straight Clip-ins (used Checkout Code MATV)
- Cantu – Coconut Oil Shine & Hold Mist
- Cantu – Coconut Curling Cream
- Cantu – Extra Hold Edge Stay Gel
- Ponytail Holder (2)
- Elastic
- Bobby Pins
- Flatiron
- Scarf
- Sheers / Scissors
Directions:
- Start with stretched hair
- Rehydrate hair with Cantu Coconut Oil Spray
- Seal in hydration with Cantu Coconut Curling Creme
- Brush hair up, working products into hair
- Gather hair into a high ponytail and secure with ponytail holder
- Pin hair up into a bun temporarily using bobby pins
- Add edge control to edges and work into hair to slick back fly aways
- Regather hair with a new elastic ponytail holder for tighter hold
- Tie down edges using scarf
- Unpin hair and plat. Secure end of plat with elastic band
- Wrap first clip around plat and clip midway through plat
- Repeat step with next two clip-ins going up toward base of the plat.
- Remove scarf and place one clip-in in front of ponytail
- TIP: Clip-in hair should be falling towards your face.
- Place second clip-in directly behind the first
- Holding clip-in hair midway, pull back and pin down
- Pin down excess hair to the base of ponytail
- Wrap pony tail hair around base of ponytail forming a bun
- Pin end of hair into bun
- Trim ends of hair (bang) slightly
- Flatiron bang giving the hair a slight bump/curl
- Run fingers through bang and position as you like
