Get your backyard and garage in order with these do it yourself storage and organization hacks. Remember you don’t have to use these in the same exact manner I did. You can use this as an inspirational guide.

Pool Supplies

What you’ll need:

One wooden pallet
An extra long rope
A couple of coat hooks
Two open basket
Oversized pales
Additional hooks

Putting it all together:

Don’t ruin your fence. Use the rope to tie the pallet to the fence on either side. Make sure it’s tight.
Screw in the two coat hooks to hang your towels.
Attach the two open baskets. This will help with easy drainage of wet pool toys.
Using the hooks and pales you can store additional supplies.

Garage Organization

What you’ll need:

Metal storage rack
Plastic vertical stackable storage bins
Large metal bins
Extra large letter stickers
Colorful duct tape
Artificial turf
Laundry hamper
Hanging shoe organizer

Putting it all together:

Build the metal storage rack
Use the extra large letters like labels on the large bins for easy grab and go. Place those bins on the rack.
Place the turf underneath the meal rack to catch debris that falls off the bottom of your shoes.
Use the plastic stackable bins for additional storage.
Using the color duct tape, make parking spaces on the floor for bikes, scooters, etc.
Use the laundry hamper to store balls.
Hang the shoe organizer and use it to store helmets and other items.
Use the trash can to store your garden tools.

Outdoor Entertaining

What you’ll need:

Old frame
Open bins
Small hanging planters

Putting it all together:

Get a piece of wood the size of your frame. Paint the wood and frame the colors of your choice. Glue and/or screw them together.
Attach bins to use for storage of placemats, small plates, and napkins. *Tip: You can use desk supplies from the dollar store or any office supply store.
Use the small plant holders to store utensils.
