Spring is upon us and here are some ways that I showcased on TV One’s Sister Circle that you can do to jazz up your home without breaking the bank:

Replace throw pillows

Pillows are a great way to bring in a pop of color without changing your entire decor. You can toss these on your couch or on your bed, and you can even place several on the floor in a corner in a harem style. If you want to save even more money you can buy pillow shams and put your existing pillows inside. Everyone thinks you’ve gotten new pillows when you’ve simply given a facelift to your existing ones.

If you’re feeling crafty you can take some old tee-shirts and make your own pillows. This will allow you to customize the pillows to look the way you want them too.

Change bedroom linens

A quick and easy way to change the look and feel of your bedroom is to swap out your pillow and comforter shams.  Don’t be afraid of white sheets – using them and adding a pop of color on your top bedding will be just the right transformation your bed needs to go from winter to spring.

Update bathroom decor

You can change your bathroom entirely simply by changing your towels and shower curtain. You can also update the decor by getting some small cute yet inexpensive racks or basket and stuff your rolled up wash clothes in it. It’s duel function for decor and having easy access to your wash clothes.

Floral arrangement alternatives

When spring arrives people typically like to bring tulips, plants, and other floral arrangements into their homes. But if you don’t have a green thumb yet love florals you can use floral kitchen towels. Or you can skip the floral and have a bowl of lemons. You can get wax lemons so that don’t go bad and they can be reused. You can also add a wreath to your front door. Remember you don’t have to spend a lot. Keep it simple.

What colors do you suggest for spring?

Usually, pastels are the go-to color. But you don’t have to stick with that. Look to Pantone’s choice for Color of the Year. For 2020 it’s Classic Blue so look for accents in this hue or you can simply make your own.

Where can you get cute inexpensive spring home decor?

You can check out Target, Walmart, and even Amazon. If you want to splurge a little you can check out Anthropologie, World Market or West Elm.
