My love affair with lipstick goes as far back as I remember. I would take the money I earned and run to Mac as a teenager, and treat myself to a lip gloss. Now as a mom, I use lipstick as a mood enhancer. On those days when I don’t have time for a “full-face,” a fresh face with a bold lipstick works just as fine. I figure, if it works for me, it might work for other moms! In this post I am going to share three bold lip colors every chic mom needs in her makeup bag!
Orange:
Orange is a color that evokes happiness. It will be hard to have low spirits when wearing this shade on your lips! If you want a departure from the usual red lip, try orange!
I love it in the summer months on tanned and bronzed skin but, works just as well in the fall/winter months as well. I usually line my lips with an orange liner to intensify the color. If I’m feeling super lazy, I’ll just wear the liner on its own! Orange is a color that evokes happiness. It will be hard to have low spirits when wearing this shade on your lips!

Purple:
Purple is said to be a color of power, creativity, independence, and ambition. Keep these things in mind when you are rocking this color and step into your #blackgirlmagic! Besides being my favorite color, a good purple lip can work on every shade of beautiful. I tend to go for deep purples, that really contrast against my skin.

Blue:
Blue lipstick is not for the faint of heart. It is definitely a color for the confident, and I think there’s a shade of blue for all of us out there. I prefer a deep matte blue, it lasts all day and really is a great accessory to my outfit for that day.
