Today I woke up to a great surprise!!!! Okay so here is the scenario, I’m going through my daily routine of checking all my social media…I click on Instagram (an app on Android and Apple mobile devices) I notice one of my Friends has tagged me in a post stating that they got listed with me on Essence.com!!!! Essence.com, ESSENCE.COM…Essence.COM!!!! I could not believe how excited I was, but was clueless for what…what was I listed for???
2.2 secs later on Essence.com…
I see what the excitement was for, I was listed in their Digital Divas: 100 of Your Favorite Natural Hair Instagrammers,” Yes me…I am speechless!!! The list includes YouTube favorites’ like; MsVaughntv, Mahonganycurls, iknowlee, neffyfrofro, and naptural85 to name a few! The list doesn’t stop there Actress Tracee Ellis Ross, Singer Solange Knowles, as well as noted fashionistas! What a treat and honor to be thought of and listed!!!! I am so overwhelmed with gratitude and full of love! I was listed amongst the Popular, Beautiful and fliest Naturalist Woman on Instagram!!!
Being natural to me is not a trend, it is the way God wants me to be, naturally comfortable in my own skin! In these 30+ years I’ve work diligently in being the best me I can be…it’s nice to see it all pay off! Natural or not life is about living the way He would have you live it…don’t compare, belittle, compromise yourself due to someone else!!!! Always remember to love yourself and the world can’t help but take notice!!
