It’s officially back to school season and you know what that means? Back to school shopping! After months of safer-at-home orders, Garrison is ready to get back to school and reconnect with his friends and teachers. Despite the uncertainty about what the upcoming school year will look like we still need supplies. Now the question remains, where do I find supplies cool enough for G but also affordable for me and dad?

Enter, Walmart.

Walmart always plays a role in our family shopping excursions. This is why I’m thrilled to have partnered with them to show you how easy it is to shop for stylish and affordable back to school gear. Each new semester Walmart stocks its shelves with products that both kids and parents love, and this semester is no different.

Let’s Get Back To School Shopping!

G took some time out of his busy summer schedule of lounging and playing games to browse everything Walmart.com had to offer for back to school. Together we chose several shirts and pants that can be mixed and matched to create even more new looks. This will be great for G because it will give him flexibility when picking out his clothes. Either virtually or in-person G will be looking fresh and feeling confident in everything he’s wearing.

That’s not all we shopped for though. We also checked out backpacks, notebooks, pens, pencils, and other accessories. We got everything we needed to get G excited about the first day of school.

During our online shopping trip, I also picked up some fun educational activities. I chose a first-grade reading book and mathematical and sight word flashcards. These activities will allow us to bond as a family as we help G get a headstart on first-grade schoolwork. I know summer vacation is supposed to be about anything but school work, especially after the year we’ve had, but it’s important to keep his mind sharp and not have any educational regression due to the months-long safer-at-home orders coupled with summer break.

Shopping Affordability & Safety

Walmart prides itself on making shopping easy and affordable for everyone. I spent under $200 for everything. Which is perfect as some families are going through financially difficult times right now so it’s important for them to know the money they spend will be well spent. In addition, Walmart is committed to keeping families safe with its in-store mask, social distancing policies, and reduced store hours for deep cleanings. They also offer curbside pick-up and free delivery.

So no matter what the school year looks like, it’s great to know Walmart has our back by providing families with amazingly low prices on everything our children need to start the new school year off right.
