The Hubster (my personal photographer) and I took in more of the southeast Tennessee sites…and this is what I wore!!!
Location: Pigeon Forge TN aka Dollywood!!!
The full look…
Well the summer season is slowly coming to an end so I figured I’ll get the last bit of it out of my system with this cute “little” chambray romper (Target). This is my LAST summer squeezing into this…lol!!!
The statement pieces of this outfit is the HEAD WRAP!!!! I’ve had this material since 1997 my first semester in college! I got a ton of this material from a hemp store…lol ( no I wasn’t buying anything illegal!!!) It’s hand died from India. With this one lot of material I have two different head wraps and enough for a long wrap skirt…talk about getting your monies worth!!! I wore a slight afro/bang to complete the look.
Jewelry Jewelry Jewelry…the earrings are an imitation ivory with gold embellishments (Forever 21), of course I had to rock my colorful fruit charm bracelet (Aldo)…it was the perfect choice to complement the head wrap!!
Lets talk footwear, I’ve had these PERFECT nude (for my skin) wooden platform sandals (Steve Madden) for over 12 years!!! YES I said 12 years!!! I refuse to get rid of them…they are the perfect match to my skin complexion and they are so comfy!!! I only wear them a couple times a year but I will neva get rid of them!
Here are a few of my favorite pics from this shoot!
I love the way my Hubs captured this shoot!!! Brilliant!!!
I look JUST like my mother in this picture!!!

I love your hair! and turban! I can never get mine to look that nice it would save me so much time if i knew how to do this with my scarves. You have the most gorgeour skin as well!
Thank you so much Elle!!! I love your name…here is a quick tip on getting it to stay on even when you have a heavy bow tied in the front…1. let hair hang free..if it longer loose bun it. 2. take normal bobby pins and pin around the perimeter of your head. 3. wrap the scarf 4. take additional bobby pins and pin into the first round of pins creating a X the base being under the scarf and the new bobbies being on top and under the base pins…it causes a lock effect!!! Hope that helps…be careful removing pins so you won’t pull your hair out! Thanks for stopping by I’ll post more tips like this soon!!!
